We had a fantastic stay at this place! The location is absolutely perfect, with easy access to public transportation, a variety of shops and cafes, and popular tourist attractions within walking distance. The building itself is like a castle and provides a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. Our room was spacious and well-equipped, with a fully functional kitchen and a lovely balcony, which was a great bonus. We had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

At 7 am on the first morning, we were woken to be told that the building had been taken over by the bank as the company who owned Buda Hills had defaulted on a loan. The staff were locked out and the banks security guards patrolled the corridors. A surreal experience,thankfully Booked.net found us alternative accomodation.

We chose Buda Hill Residences first of all, for its location, because my husband and I were going to have our dental treatments in Budapest, and Buda Hill Residences were just nearby, very close to our dental clinic. After we arrived at the Residences, we found this was really our ideal place for our recuperation, as our one-bedroom apartment was very spacious, and my husband and myself could have one large room each for our needed space and privacy respectively, while we could share the kitchen / dining room for our meals together. The cookware in the apartment was not quite enough for our need. But after we requested a few more items, all of their receptionists, Dora, Tunde, and Reka all very quickly met our requests, very very attentative indeed, made us feel like being at our own home. Really comfortable and well-looked- after by all of them. All of the girl receptionists were also extremely helpful with instructions of locations that we were hoping to visit. Although we spent most of our time hiding inside our apartment during our whole week at the Residences, we also managed to go to see 2 operas for which the reception girls also gave us very helpful tips of how the best way to get there - by tram and then, a 5-minute walk which was most enjoyable - because the tree-lined large avenue leading to the opera from the tram stop was most beautiful, and we could parade with our finest outfits ! We enjoyed our stay at Buda Hill Residences so much (although very painful from our dental treatments), that we have since already made 2 more bookings for August and December (each time staying for 10 days / 11 days) - because we need to go back to our dental clinic again at least 2 more times.

There was nothing that we did not like Buda Hill Residences. Everything we needed that they did not have, they tried their best to let us have them, such as that large glass bowl that we needed for microwave cooking, and some other items, such as washing liquid, etc. We really loved the location which was not only close to our dental clinic, but also only within 5 minutes from the best food super market inside that huge fashionable Mammut Shopping Centre just down the hill. There is also another 24-hour food super market nearby. Moreover, one extra bonus was, it really felt like staying at a fancy castle, while everything inside was / is modern and comfortable.

The location of the hotel is amazing. It is very close to the metro and tram station, making it easily accessible. There is a big shopping mall nearby, as well as small shops and cafés. the rooms and kitchen in the apartments are quite big and have everything you may need during your stay. the building itself looks like a castle and is very peaceful.

The lack of staff who speak English and the non-functional Wi-Fi and TV were major inconveniences.

The location was good in terms of shopping and access to public transport. The design of Buda Hill Residences is quite unique and amazing.

There wasn't the level of support from hotel staff that we expected when problems occurred in terms of operation of equipment and failure of wireless internet access during our stay.

The location of the apartments was very convenient, with easy access to transportation and nearby shopping and dining options. Some popular tourist attractions were also within walking distance. The apartments themselves were spacious and well-equipped, with a balcony that offered a nice additional feature.

The wifi and TV were not working during our stay and there was no one available to help. We also had trouble communicating with the reception staff, as they did not speak English.

The amount of space in the apartments is great, as is the location - minutes away from the old town on foot, 5-10 min walk from the metro station and supermarket just down the street.

Quite noisy with being an apartment block - loud music from some of the neighbours one night. Reception has limited opening hours, which can be tricky if on business rather than holiday - but staff are very accommodating. Pillows are extremely poor so might be best to take your own if you can.

Buda Hill Residence is such a beautiful place to stay. The building looks really interesting from the outside and it's located in the nice area of Budapest. Our apartment was such a nice and clean place, which had everything we needed, so we really felt like at home from the very first moment. Our receptionist was very polite and smiling lady :) always ready to answer all of our questions. We have fully enjoyed our stay at BHR and it's definitely the place where we will return the next time we come to Budapest.

We had an amazing stay and perfectly taken care of by Chris. He normally works in the back offices, but he was just great! Having worked in a few hotels I know what good service and 'genuine' hospitality is. The facilities in the apartment were perfectly fine. Location was very good. Thanks again for a great stay!
